Every Wednesday, from 9pm - 1:30am, we host what we call GOOGLE-OKE' simply because we dj all the millions of songs you want from the internet herself. So every minor obscure song you never found at any other karaoke bar ... We probably will. Come one. Come all.
Some funny tips in good karaoke.
1. Dont READ the lyrics, like you did when you aced speech 101, the lyrics are there AS GUIDES. Like check marks to make sure you dont get lost. PICK A SONG YOU TOTALLY KNOW. You will be more natural singing a song you know by heart anyways.
2. Check how high the microphone is. If it is really loud DO NOT HOLD IT TOTALLY UP TO YOUR MOUTH. Sounds silly, and yes having it too far from your face is a problem too, but its uncomfortable for everyone else when your screaming Slayer and using the microphone as a tooth brush.
3. Contrary to popular belief, and this is debatable; alcohol does not make you a better performer. No no no.. Not saying it doesnt make the experience more fun, Im saying if good technique and vocal quality is what your concerned about getting sideways before getting on stage is a no no. It drys out your vocal cords, makes generally less aware of what your doing, paranoid and sloppy.
4. HAVE FUN. Cut loose, even disobey these rules if its necessary, its your time to have fun! Just dont be obnoxious and mean spirited to others in the process.
